The Glycogen and Energy for Physical Activity

With regard to energy for physical activity, duration and intensity of activity affect the type and amount of energy consumed.

For aerobic training, 70% of the energy comes from glycogen, while the rest comes from fat.

For sports that require short bursts of intense energy, such as tennis, these carbohydrates are the main source of energy.

Endurance sports, which require a constant intensity, also use the muscle glycogen. After 90 to 120 minutes of exercise, glycogen reserves plummet, so then the body uses fats.

Based on a diet of 2,000 calories a day, 275 grams of carbohydrates is normal.

Train in less time

train your bodyMost people have a schedule in which with difficulty can include new activities, which usually is used as an excuse not to exercise, despite knowing that by maintaining a moderate level of activity can improve health and prevent aging.

If this is your situation, here are some tips to do more fitness in less time, both in the gym or outside.

For starters, the most important thing is to organize and plan. Includes training sessions in your calendar like any other work activities of your daily routine, this will help you find the time to train more efficiently than if you leave it to chance.

The same with aerobic training, when there is time for a full session of spinning or your favorite class, you can use the elliptical bike sessions of 20 to 30 minutes of medium intensity alternating periods of high intensity with other . The idea is to raise the heart rate to improve cardiovascular capacity.
